Pararelism

A. Parallelism is the use of components in a sentence that are grammatically the same; or similar in their construction, sound, meaning or meter. Parallelism examples are found in literary works as well as in ordinary conversations.
This method adds balance and rhythm to sentences giving ideas a smoother flow and thus can be persuasive because of the repetition it employs. For example, “Alice ran into the room, into the garden, and into our hearts.” We see the repetition of a phrase that not only gives the sentence a balance but rhythm and flow as well. This repetition can also occur in similar structured clauses e.g. “Whenever you need me, wherever you need me, I will be there for you.”

B. Parallelism Examples
  • Like father, like son.
  • The escaped prisoner was wanted dead or alive.
  • Easy come, easy go.
  • Whether in class, at work or at home, Shasta was always busy.
  • Flying is fast, comfortable, and safe.

The Internet has a positive impact but also has a lot of negative impact.

In addition to that the internet could be something that kills us because abuse it. Thus, the psychological factors contributing to the strength and attraction of the internet. It seems clear that the features behind the potential the internet has become habit forming. Then we must remember if technology doesn't improve your life, then it is not worthwhile and it depends on us who use it.

Persuasive Essay

Homework is an important part of the learning process in middle school. One reason is that homework gives students additional practice of skills covered in class. Middle school classes are too short to teach a new concept and practice it sufficiently for students to master. Students need both guided practice in class and independent practice at home. Another reason for homework is that it provides time to complete longer assignments. For example, the ideal composition process allows time for students to think and to reflect on their ideas, as well as time to revise and to proofread their writing. Also, reports and special projects often require research that can not always be done at school. In addition, since all students do not work at the same speed, giving students time at home to finish work keeps them from falling behind.
Finally, the most important reason for homework is that it ensures review. New material and old material are practiced in daily assignments. Students who do their homework daily are prepared for tests and make better grades. In conclusion, not only is homework essential to mastering new skills and maintaining previously learned skills, but it also guarantees constant review and provides time for longer assignments, as well as additional time for students who need it.
